Inavale Farm Cross Country Course Descriptions

 

All Courses
Terrain: rolling fields, forest trails.
Footing: mostly well-established turf, trails through forest are sanded, all areas aerovated.
Fence construction: 50-70% of fences at or near maximum height.  Jumps are varied in style, mostly log construction.  

Intermediate
Seven fences with multiple elements.  Includes one corner, one coffin, trakehner, two bank complexes, ditch and wall, three narrow fences, drop into water.  New for 2008: narrow fence before bounce bank, track change down steps off top trail (now includes 4 elements). 

Preliminary
Six fences with multiple elements.  Includes one corner as part of the coffin, two bank complexes, trakehner, two narrow fences, drop into water.  New for 2008: narrow fence after bounce bank, track change down steps off top trail, offset ramps. 

Training
Four fences with multiple elements.  Includes corner, trakehner, coffin, on- and off-banks, drop into water.  New for 2008: corner, different track through water.

Novice
One fence with multiple elements.  Course includes ditch, up-bank.  Water is trot-through with no option.  New for 2008: new two-stride combination in different place. 

Beginner Novice
One fence with multiple elements.  Course includes simple ditch.  Water is trot-through with option.  New for 2008: new three-stride combination.
